Can I Book A Discovery Flight Online?
Yes. Booking is fully automatic: choose your flight and its length, pick an open time and book it yourself online. No phone call is needed, although you are welcome to call (818) 960-1285 with any questions.
Does The Briefing Count Toward My Booked Flight Time?
No. Please arrive a few minutes before your booked time for a short briefing with your instructor. The briefing happens before engine start and is not counted in your booked time.
What Do The 60, 90 And 120 Minutes Include?
Your booked length is time in the aircraft with the engine running. It takes about 5 minutes from engine start to get airborne, and that is included in your booked time.
Is A Discovery Flight The Same As An Air Tour Or Plane Ride?
No. On an air tour you ride as a passenger. On a discovery flight you fly the airplane yourself, with an FAA-certified instructor beside you, over Los Angeles.
Which Airplanes Are Used For Discovery Flights?
Depending on the flight you choose, you fly a modern Cessna, Diamond, Cirrus or twin-engine Piper Seminole. The Discovery Flight For One is flown in a Cessna 162 or Diamond DA20, the Luxury Discovery Flight in our Turbo Cirrus, and the Multi-Engine Discovery Flight For Two in a Piper Seminole.
Can My Discovery Flight Count Toward Flight Training?
Yes. If you enroll within 24 hours of your discovery flight, 100% of its cost is credited toward your training.
